Depending on your PC hardware it may take few minutes to verify the files and start downloading the missing ones. After that you will be able to launch the game on your PC via Epic Games Store.

Now, the EGS will start verifying the copied files of GTA and once that is done it will download less 1GB of files.

Once the files are copied, Open EGS and resume the downloading of GTA V.

Searched up and down through many sites and forums including steam and rockstar and sent support tickets etc. I also checked processes in task manager as admin and made sure no background gta's was running, as in the beginning it would say 'GTA 5 is already running' and still does when clicking through the social club part. The 'PlayGTAV.exe' is nowhere to be found in my PC by the way. I then found some forums online talking about going and installing the launcher manually, i did that and same thing happened afterwards. When going play through steam, once the Rockstar Social Club / GTA Launcher finishes installing, it will get to the launch game part then stop and say 'The game you are trying to play isn't installed.' or something similar.

When i click on the GTA5.exe through steam in Drive>Program Files (x86)>Steam>steamapps>commom>GTA5 it will say 'Run the game using PlayGTAV.exe'Īnd as i've been reading, this file isn't supposed to some with the Steam download of GTA5. When clicking to play through steam/social club-launcher, it will say i do not have Grand Theft Auto 5 installed.
